It all started in 1590...

The forthcoming novel is set in a little village called North Berwick, Scotland, in the year 1590. The Witches of East Lothian, reveals the lives of three women, who, in just living the lives they were given, became targets for the strange human need to find scapegoats to appease the religious fervor and economic insecurity of the times. What happens when women are called witches, when the King of Scotland himself, soon to become King of England, becomes intrigued with the idea that this may just be the next plot to undermine his crown, and when no one lifts a finger to deny the Divine Right of Kings to sign whatever writs they so choose into law?

This novel, set in the aftermath of the Protestant Reformation, elucidates unseen historical events which precipitated the massive exodus to the new world and clarifies how that quest for freedom still exists unappeased, regardless of changes in laws, styles, perceptions and social mores...

Ah, but remember when the scapegoats were witches?
